GC ABRASIVES
GC Abrasives Non-Woven Surface Conditioning Belts are engineered for professional metal surface treatment applications requiring a controlled cut and a consistent, uniform finish.
Constructed from a three-dimensional non-woven fiber web combined with abrasive grain and a reinforced backing, the belts provide an effective balance between cutting action, flexibility and surface finish.
Unlike conventional coated abrasive belts designed primarily for stock removal, surface conditioning belts are particularly suitable for operations where the objective is to clean, blend, deburr, refine or finish the surface without aggressive removal of the base material.
The open-web construction allows swarf and debris to escape more easily during operation, helping reduce loading and heat buildup. The flexible abrasive structure also conforms to contours, edges and irregular workpieces, providing consistent surface contact and predictable finishing results.
GC Abrasives Surface Conditioning Belts are suitable for processing stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, titanium, nickel alloys, copper, brass and other ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
They are available in a wide range of sizes, abrasive grades and backing constructions to meet the requirements of manual, semi-automatic and industrial finishing operations.

| Fine | Light | Surface refinement, scratch blending, finishing |
| Very Fine | Very Light | Fine finishing, satin finishing, final surface preparation |
Note: Final cutting performance depends on abrasive mineral, belt construction, operating speed, contact pressure and workpiece material.
The three-dimensional non-woven abrasive structure provides controlled cutting action and helps produce a uniform, repeatable finish throughout the working life of the belt.
Flexible abrasive material follows contours, edges and irregular surfaces, making it suitable for both flat finishing and detailed surface conditioning.
The open-web structure allows grinding debris to escape, helping reduce clogging and maintain effective abrasive performance.
The open construction promotes airflow around the grinding area, helping reduce excessive heat generation during finishing operations.
Designed to condition and refine surfaces without the aggressive stock removal associated with conventional grinding abrasives.
Suitable for blending processing marks, refining weld areas and producing consistent satin or brushed finishes on stainless steel components.
Available from coarse grades for deburring and blending through very fine grades for surface refinement and final finishing.
Different widths and lengths can be manufactured to suit file belt sanders, backstands and industrial belt finishing equipment.
Removes light burrs and sharp edges while helping maintain the original dimensions and geometry of the workpiece.
Blends weld areas, grinding marks and surrounding surfaces to create a more uniform appearance before subsequent finishing operations.
Ideal for refining stainless steel surfaces and producing consistent brushed, satin and industrial finishes.
Removes oxidation, light corrosion, discoloration and surface contamination prior to welding, coating or further finishing.
Helps blend scratches, machining marks and previous abrasive lines into a more uniform surface pattern.
Prepares metal surfaces before painting, coating, bonding, polishing or subsequent manufacturing processes.
The flexible non-woven structure conforms to curved components, profiles and irregular shapes for controlled surface treatment.
Fine and very fine grades can be used to create uniform cosmetic and decorative finishes on stainless steel and other metals.
