Depressed Center Non-Woven Abrasive Wheels for Surface Conditioning & Metal Finishing

Professional Non-Woven Abrasive Wheels for Cleaning, Deburring, Blending & Finishing

GC Abrasives Depressed Center Non-Woven Abrasive Wheels are designed for professional surface conditioning, cleaning, deburring, blending, polishing and finishing applications.

Manufactured from durable non-woven synthetic fibers combined with selected abrasive grains and resin bonding, these wheels provide controlled abrasive action while maintaining flexibility and consistent contact with the workpiece. The non-woven structure helps achieve a uniform surface finish while minimizing deep scratches, gouging and unnecessary removal of the base material.

Available with Aluminum Oxide (AO) or Silicon Carbide (SC) abrasive and in 7P / 9P grades, the wheels can be selected for different materials, surface conditions and finishing requirements.

The depressed center configuration provides convenient working access to flat surfaces, edges, welds and contoured areas. Both standard arbor-hole and 5/8"-11 threaded mounting options are available for selected sizes.

GC Abrasives offers a complete size range including 4", 4-1/2", 5" and 7" wheels for professional metal fabrication and industrial surface finishing.

Designed for Professional Metalworking

The flexible non-woven structure makes these wheels particularly suitable for applications where surface quality and controlled material removal are more important than aggressive stock removal.

Unlike conventional grinding operations, non-woven abrasive wheels are primarily designed to condition and refine the surface. They can remove surface contamination, oxidation, minor imperfections and burrs while helping preserve the geometry of the workpiece.

This makes them an excellent choice for stainless steel fabrication, welding, sheet metal processing and other professional metal finishing operations.

Depressed Center Design

The depressed center construction provides practical working access and allows the abrasive surface to contact the workpiece efficiently.

Depending on wheel size and configuration, GC Abrasives offers both arbor-hole and threaded mounting systems for use with compatible angle grinders.

Arbor-Hole Versions

Available configurations include:

  • 4" – 16 mm Bore

  • 4-1/2" – 22.23 mm / 7/8" Bore

  • 5" – 22.23 mm / 7/8" Bore

5/8"-11 Threaded Versions

Threaded mounting options are available for selected sizes, including:
