The GC Abrasives 2" x 1" Aluminum Oxide Interleaved Flap Wheel – 80 Grit is designed for professional metalworking applications requiring an effective combination of material removal, blending and surface refinement.

The wheel features alternating layers of 80-grit aluminum oxide coated abrasive cloth and flexible non-woven abrasive material. This interleaved construction combines the cutting performance of coated abrasives with the controlled surface-conditioning action of non-woven material.

During operation, the abrasive cloth flaps help remove scratches, machining marks, light oxidation and minor surface imperfections, while the non-woven flaps simultaneously blend the abrasive pattern and refine the workpiece surface. This combination makes it possible to perform cutting, blending and finishing in a single operation.

The flexible radial flap design conforms to curves, edges, contours and irregular geometries, making the wheel particularly effective where rigid abrasive products may provide excessive cutting action or limited surface contact.

The compact 2" diameter provides excellent maneuverability, while the 1" face width offers practical working coverage. An integrated 1/4" shank allows convenient mounting on compatible die grinders, straight grinders and other suitable rotary tools.

With a maximum operating speed of 11,000 RPM, the wheel is designed for controlled professional surface-finishing operations.
