The GC Abrasives 3" x 2" Interleaved Flap Wheel with 1/4" Shank – 120 Grit Aluminum Oxide is designed for professional metalworking applications requiring a combination of controlled cutting action and consistent surface refinement.

The wheel features alternating layers of coated aluminum oxide abrasive cloth and flexible non-woven abrasive material. This interleaved construction combines two different abrasive actions in one wheel: the coated abrasive flaps provide effective cutting and scratch removal, while the non-woven flaps help blend and refine the workpiece surface.

The 120-grit aluminum oxide abrasive makes this configuration particularly suitable for intermediate-to-fine blending and finishing rather than aggressive stock removal. It can be used to refine previous grinding marks, blend weld areas, remove light oxidation and prepare surfaces for subsequent finishing processes.

The flexible radial flap construction adapts to the geometry of the workpiece, maintaining effective contact on flat surfaces, contours, edges and profiles. This helps achieve a consistent finish while reducing the risk of excessive gouging compared with more aggressive grinding products.

The generous 2" face width provides greater working coverage for larger surface areas, while the 3" diameter remains compact enough for controlled portable finishing operations.

An integrated 1/4" shank provides convenient mounting on compatible die grinders, straight grinders, drills and other suitable rotary tools.
