The GC Abrasives 3" x 2" Interleaved Flap Wheel – 80 Grit AO is a professional combination abrasive wheel designed for metalworking applications that require both controlled material removal and consistent surface refinement.

The wheel features alternating layers of aluminum oxide coated abrasive cloth and flexible non-woven abrasive material. This interleaved construction combines two complementary abrasive actions within a single wheel.

The coated abrasive flaps provide the cutting action required to remove machining marks, scratches, light oxidation and minor surface imperfections, while the non-woven flaps simultaneously condition and blend the workpiece surface.

The 120-grit aluminum oxide abrasive provides a controlled cutting action suitable for intermediate and finer blending operations. It is particularly useful for refining surfaces after more aggressive grinding and preparing workpieces for subsequent polishing, coating or final finishing.

Its flexible radial flap construction conforms to flat surfaces, curves, edges, profiles and irregular geometries. As the flaps wear, fresh abrasive surfaces are continuously exposed, helping maintain effective cutting and finishing performance throughout the usable life of the wheel.

The 3" diameter provides good maneuverability, while the wider 2" face increases surface contact and working coverage. The integrated 1/4" shank makes the wheel convenient for use with compatible portable rotary tools.
