GC ABRASIVES
The GC Abrasives 6" x 1" 7P Non-Woven Nylon Fiber Polishing Wheel is an industrial surface-finishing wheel designed for applications requiring a controlled balance of abrasive action, conformability and finish quality.
The wheel is manufactured from a three-dimensional network of non-woven nylon fibers combined with abrasive material. Unlike conventional grinding wheels intended for aggressive stock removal, the resilient non-woven structure follows the workpiece surface and provides a more controlled finishing action.
The 7P construction provides a relatively firm wheel structure suitable for general-purpose industrial blending and finishing. It helps refine scratches, machining marks and minor surface imperfections while maintaining good control over the resulting surface finish.
The open non-woven structure also provides space for airflow and grinding debris, helping reduce loading during continuous surface-conditioning operations.

I recommend treating 7P as the wheel density/construction designation, not as a grit number.
The final product page should list abrasive mineral, actual grit/grade, center-hole size and maximum RPM separately once those specifications for the GC Abrasives SKU are confirmed.
The 7P construction provides a firm yet resilient abrasive structure for controlled industrial surface finishing.
The non-woven abrasive network provides continuous surface contact while conforming to the shape of the workpiece.
Designed for surface refinement rather than aggressive material removal, helping preserve workpiece dimensions and geometry.
Helps blend light scratches, sanding lines, machining marks and other minor surface imperfections.
The porous structure provides space for airflow and debris, helping reduce loading during finishing operations.
The resilient abrasive construction helps produce a uniform finish across metal surfaces.
The wide working face provides efficient coverage for panels, components and larger finishing areas.
Designed for controlled finishing of stainless steel, steel, aluminum and other compatible non-ferrous metals.
Suitable for conditioning and refining stainless steel sheets, components, hardware and fabricated products.
Blends light scratches, sanding marks and machining lines into a more uniform surface.
Prepares metal surfaces between fabrication, grinding and subsequent finishing operations.
Helps remove light burrs and refine edges without the aggressive action of conventional grinding wheels.
Removes light oxidation, discoloration and surface contamination while simultaneously conditioning the metal.
Helps blend residual grinding marks and transitions after weld grinding.
Creates a more uniform surface before finer finishing, buffing or polishing operations.
Suitable for controlled finishing of compatible aluminum, brass and copper components.
An important point for this product page is to avoid presenting 7P as though it were an abrasive grit.
A buyer should understand the product specification as two separate variables:
DENSITY → Wheel firmness and conformability
ABRASIVE GRADE / GRIT → Cutting action and resulting finish
For the website, a useful message would be:
Controlled Cut • Consistent Contact • Uniform Finish
If you also manufacture 5P, 7P and 9P versions, I recommend presenting them as a density selection system only after confirming the actual relative firmness of your GC products.
| Processing Stage | Typical Purpose |
|---|---|
| CLEAN | Remove light oxidation and surface contamination |
| BLEND | Refine scratches and previous processing marks |
| CONDITION | Create a more consistent surface |
| FINISH | Prepare the workpiece for finer finishing or polishing |
This CLEAN → BLEND → CONDITION → FINISH concept would also work very well as one of the product-detail graphics.
