GC ABRASIVES
The GC Abrasives 6" x 1" Non-Woven Nylon Fiber Polishing Wheel is an industrial surface-finishing abrasive developed for applications where controlled material removal and consistent surface quality are more important than aggressive grinding.
The wheel is manufactured from a three-dimensional non-woven nylon fiber network containing abrasive material. Its resilient structure allows the working surface to conform to the workpiece while continuously exposing abrasive throughout the wheel.
Compared with conventional grinding wheels, the non-woven structure provides a softer and more controlled finishing action. It is particularly effective for light deburring, scratch blending, oxidation removal, surface conditioning and polishing preparation.
The open web structure also provides space for debris and airflow, helping reduce loading and heat accumulation during operation—characteristics commonly associated with this class of non-woven fiber finishing wheels.
The 150mm diameter × 25mm thickness is a widely offered configuration for this product type. Comparable products are used in metal fabrication, automotive, maintenance and other industrial finishing applications.

Important: The current GC listing confirms 6-inch diameter and 25mm thickness, but I would add the bore size, abrasive mineral, grit, density and maximum RPM only according to the exact GC Abrasives SKU specifications rather than copying them from another seller. Market products vary considerably in these attributes.
Flexible nylon fibers provide consistent abrasive contact while conforming to the workpiece surface.
Designed to refine surfaces without the aggressive stock removal associated with conventional grinding wheels.
Helps remove light burrs and refine edges while minimizing changes to the original workpiece geometry.
Blends machining marks, sanding lines and minor surface imperfections into a more uniform finish.
The porous abrasive structure provides space for debris and airflow, helping reduce loading and heat buildup during use.
Provides good surface coverage while maintaining control during industrial finishing operations.
Different abrasive specifications can be selected according to the required cutting action and final surface finish.
The unmounted design is suitable for compatible bench grinders, polishing machines and dedicated finishing equipment.
Removes light burrs and refines sharp edges after machining, cutting or fabrication.
Conditions stainless steel surfaces and helps produce a consistent industrial or decorative finish.
Refines sanding marks, machining lines and minor scratches from previous processing steps.
Removes light oxidation, discoloration and surface contamination while conditioning the underlying surface.
Blends residual grinding marks and transitions after weld grinding.
Ideal for preparing surfaces between fabrication and subsequent finishing operations.
Creates a more uniform surface before final buffing or polishing.
Suitable for controlled finishing of aluminum, brass, copper and other compatible non-ferrous metals.

Comparable 6-inch fiber finishing wheels are marketed for applications including automotive, metal fabrication, maintenance, foundry, aerospace and shipyard work.
For GC Abrasives, I recommend selling this product using two variables: Grit + Density.
For example:
GRIT → determines the cutting/finish level
DENSITY → determines wheel flexibility and firmness
A clean website selection concept would be:
COARSER → CLEAN & DEBURR
MEDIUM → BLEND & CONDITION
FINER → REFINE & FINISH
Do not automatically convert non-woven density such as 5P / 7P / 9P into grit. They describe different product characteristics and should be presented separately.
GC Abrasives specializes in bonded, coated and non-woven abrasive solutions for professional metalworking and industrial surface finishing.
Our product portfolio covers multiple finishing requirements, including:
Non-Woven Wheels • Surface Conditioning Discs • Flap Wheels • Interleaved Wheels • Surface Conditioning Belts • Wire Drawing Wheels
Controlled production helps maintain consistent wheel dimensions, density and abrasive structure for repeatable finishing results.
Different diameters, widths, bore sizes, grits and densities can be supplied for different machines and finishing requirements.
GC Abrasives can support customized product specifications according to the customer's equipment, workpiece and required surface finish.
We support international distributors and industrial brands with OEM production, private labeling, customized packaging and product development.
Our team can help customers select the appropriate wheel according to workpiece material, starting surface condition, machine type and required final finish.
