8" Non-Woven Aluminum Oxide Polishing Wheel for Metal Finishing

The GC Abrasives 8" Non-Woven Aluminum Oxide Polishing Wheel is designed for controlled blending, surface conditioning, grain finishing and polishing preparation of stainless steel and other metal surfaces.

Made with white aluminum oxide abrasive in a three-dimensional non-woven fiber structure, the wheel provides flexible and consistent surface contact for refining scratches, blending machining marks, removing light oxidation and producing uniform brushed or satin finishes.

Available in 1" and 2" working widths with 5P, 7P, 9P and 12P density options, the wheel can be selected according to the required balance of conformability, firmness and finishing control.

Ideal for stainless steel products, architectural hardware, handles, hinges, locks, aluminum components and other industrial metal-finishing applications.

Product Overview

The GC Abrasives 8" Non-Woven Polishing Wheel is an industrial surface-finishing abrasive developed for applications requiring controlled cutting action and a consistent surface appearance.

The wheel combines white aluminum oxide abrasive with a resilient non-woven fiber structure. Unlike conventional rigid grinding wheels designed for aggressive stock removal, the non-woven construction conforms to the workpiece and provides controlled abrasive contact.

This makes the wheel particularly suitable for scratch blending, surface conditioning, light deburring, grain finishing, satin finishing and polishing preparation.

Its open three-dimensional structure provides space for airflow and processing debris, helping reduce loading during finishing operations.

This is preferable to describing 5P/7P/9P/12P as grit numbers. Density and abrasive grit should remain separate specifications.
